One Year After Trump’s Tariffs: Everything is More Expensive Because of Juan Ciscomani

On the anniversary of Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs, Arizonans continue to suffer under the weight of rising prices on everything from groceries to medicine – all thanks to Juan Ciscomani, who’s repeatedly voted to protect reckless tariffs.

In the year since Trump’s sweeping tariffs were announced, American families have paid more than $1,700 in higher costsBusinesses have seen operating costs rise, profit margins fall, and are scrambling to stay afloat amidst the chaos and catastrophe caused by Republicans.

As Ciscomani continues to support cost-raising policies hurting hardworking families instead of working to lower costs, it’s a broken promise that is becoming one of the defining issues of the midterms that will cost Ciscomani his job.

With Ciscomani continuing to fall in line behind Donald Trump’s disastrous tariff policy, the DCCC has been consistently running multiple paid campaigns framing the disastrous effects of Republicans’ reckless tariffs as another part of their broken promise to the American people.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“After running on an empty promise to lower costs, Ciscomani’s support of Trump’s reckless tariffs has turned his central 2024 promise into his biggest 2026 liability.”
