One year ago today, Juan Ciscomani passed the Default on America Act, far-right legislation that risked the safety and security of American families, nearly forcing the U.S. to default on its debts.
Had House Democrats not saved our country from a catastrophic default, the extreme MAGA Republican wish-list backed by Juan Ciscomani would have:
Gutted funding for veterans’ health care for the more than 70,000 veterans in his district;
The 118th Congress has been mired in chaos, crisis, and confusion. Thanks to Ciscomani, history will remember this Congress being the least productive in modern American history.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“Juan Ciscomani will continue to face the consequences for joining extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene to support a plan that would have cut veterans’ health benefits, raise costs, and threaten the safety of Arizona families. In the past year, Ciscomani has refused to break from the extremism that has all but halted the business of our government to meet the needs of working and middle class families.”
