ONE YEAR AGO TODAY: Rep. Abigail Spanberger Voted to Lower Costs, Create Jobs, and Spur Innovation

Today, Rep. Abigail Spanberger and House Democrats are celebrating the one-year anniversary of the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act being signed into law. The CHIPS and Science Act is game-changing legislation that invests in America, creates good-paying union construction and manufacturing jobs, and ensures U.S. competitiveness with the Chinese Communist Party.

Thanks to Rep. Spanberger’s vote last year, the CHIPS and Science Act is:

  • Bringing semiconductor manufacturing back to the U.S. and reducing production delays.

  • Catalyzing regional economic growth across the nation.

  • Creating investments in STEM education and training from K-12 to community college, undergraduate and graduate education.

Rep. Abigail Spanberger is working tirelessly to create jobs, lower costs, and make sure America can compete with other countries.

DCCC spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“While many Republicans have attempted to stonewall economic growth in order to advance an extreme agenda, the one-year anniversary of the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act is a powerful reminder that Rep. Abigail Spanberger and House Democrats remain focused on issues important to Virginians — like lowering costs and creating jobs.”
