One year ago today, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law – historic legislation championed by Rep. Susie Lee to lower prescription drug costs, fight inflation, create jobs, and make the largest corporations pay their fair share.
This historic effort to deliver for working families did not receive a single vote from Republicans in Congress.
The Inflation Reduction Act will continue to:
Allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices and cap out-of-pocket costs to $2,000, including capping the cost of insulin to $35/month
Lower energy costs and create jobs
Lower health care premiums for millions of Americans
Fight inflation and achieve historic deficit reduction
Make the biggest corporations and ultra-wealthy pay their fair share
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Thanks to Rep. Susie Lee, the Inflation Reduction Act is delivering for everyday Nevadans by capping the cost of insulin, lowering costs, and creating good-paying jobs. While House Republicans have attempted to stonewall economic growth in order to advance an extreme agenda, Rep. Lee and House Democrats remain laser-focused on delivering for working families.”
