ONE YEAR AGO TODAY: Rob Bresnahan Caught Buying Defense Stock Ahead of Iran Strikes

The Independent: Republican who pushed to ban lawmaker stock trading bought Lockheed shares ahead of Iran strikes [June 25, 2025]

It’s officially been one year since Congressman Rob Bresnahan made headlines for purchasing defense stock shortly before U.S. military strikes on Iran.

Bresnahan – who campaigned on a promise to ban congressional stock trading – made headlines for purchasing Lockheed Martin stock “less than a month before Israel’s war with Iran broke out and eventually drew the U.S. into launching strikes.” The Independent added that “Bresnahan’s re-election campaign was the recipient of a $1,000 donation from a PAC representing Lockheed Martin Corporation two weeks after reporting the trade.”

Fast forward a year later, and Bresnahan has repeatedly voted in favor of a reckless war in Iran that spiked gas prices for Northeastern Pennsylvanians.

Does Bresnahan have any comment on his support for the cost-spiking war in Iran and his timely stock trades?
