In the wake of the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, it’s important voters know just how extreme PA-17 GOP candidate Jeremy Shaffer is. He has made his crusade against women’s freedoms clear multiple times in the past year alone.
Make no mistake: Shaffer and the Republican Party are on the wrong side of this issue. Polling conducted after the leak of the SCOTUS draft opinion overturning Roe shows: by a two-to-one margin, people oppose Roe being overturned; 80% of people believe abortion should be decided between a woman and her doctor; and nearly two-thirds of people oppose the GOP’s plan to institute a nationwide abortion ban.
Shaffer will be held accountable for his party’s role in recent decision and his party’s plan to institute a nationwide abortion ban.

DCCC spokesperson Helen Kalla:
“Shaffer and his party bear responsibility for the devastating decision overturning Roe. Shaffer must explain his record of attacking women’s personal freedoms and answer whether he supports his party leaders’ plan to impose a draconian nationwide abortion ban.”
