Paul Junge Stakes Out Extreme Position on Abortion And Confirms He’s Out Of Step With Michiganders

Junge opposes exceptions to abortion bans even in cases of rape and incest, a position far out of touch with Michiganders

In the wake of the draft Supreme Court decision that would end the right to an abortion, Paul Junge has made his extreme position clear.

This week, Junge told the Detroit News that he opposes exceptions on abortion bans in cases of rape and incest – a position wildly out of step with the majority of Michiganders including the 77% of Michiganders who think reproductive health care decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor. Junge has also previously described himself as pro-life “at all times” and claimed Roe v. Wade created “made-up rights.”

“Paul Junge just doubled down on what voters already know – this carpetbagger and failed politician doesn’t share our values and would try to stop Michiganders from making their own health care decisions,” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn.
