Paul Junge Wants to Take Michigan Back to 1931

Junge touts Right to Life of Michigan endorsement, reaffirming his status as an anti-choice extremist

Trust fund millionaire Paul Junge has tried to dance around his extreme stance on abortion since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, ripping away decades of protections for reproductive health care. But by touting his endorsement from Right to Life of Michigan, Junge is once again making clear his extreme agenda that would ban abortion in Michigan, with no exceptions for rape and incest.

In order to receive an endorsement from Right to Life of Michigan, “A candidate must be pro-life with no exceptions other than life of the mother.” By touting this endorsement, Junge cements his position as an extremist who wants to return to Michigan’s 1931 law criminalizing abortion and ripping away mid-Michiganders’ individual rights to make their own health care decisions.

DCCC Spokesperson Matthew Corridoni
“Paul Junge can’t hide his extremism any longer – he has made clear he wants to ban abortion, even in cases of rape and incest, and return Michigan to the dark days of criminalizing abortion for women and doctors. If Paul Junge was even from mid-Michigan, he’d understand that his views are extreme, and the government has no place infringing on the individual reproductive rights of Michiganders.
