| Nearly six months into Donald Trump’s reckless war of choice in Iran, Paul LePage is still refusing to tell Mainers where he stands.
At least 18 American service members have been killed in the conflict, and the average price of gas in Maine remains above $4 a gallon, with Maine families footing the bill every time they fill up. But Paul LePage? Silent.
Asked last month about the war, LePage ducked. Asked again last week, he brushed it off and promised he’d have something to say “at a later date.” Asked once more in Fairfield, he still couldn’t manage a yes or a no on whether he supports the war driving up gas prices on every working Mainer.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Mainers deserve better than a candidate too cowardly to tell them where he stands.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“For months, as American service members have died and Maine families have paid over $4 a gallon at the gas pump, Paul LePage has refused to tell Mainers whether he supports Donald Trump’s cost-spiking war. If Paul LePage doesn’t have the courage to be honest with Mainers now, he doesn’t deserve to represent them in Congress.”
