| Paul LePage continues to recklessly stand behind Washington Republicans’ extreme agenda, which is rapidly accelerating the affordability crisis in Maine.
In Maine alone, gas prices are now at $3.86 per gallon, and the national gas average just hit $4 per gallon, the highest since August of 2022.
The sharp rise in gas prices comes as everyday Americans are struggling to make ends meet as everything gets more expensive. A recent CBS News YouGov poll found that 53% of Americans say Trump is making people WORSE OFF financially. Even worse: 60% of Independents say Trump’s policies are making them WORSE OFF – up from 38% in October 2024.
DCCC Spokesperson Riya Vashi:
“Paul LePage is running on making life more affordable, but he hasn’t done a damn thing to lower prices. This crisis is on extreme politicians like LePage who have completely refused to stand up for Mainers as prices continue to rise.”
