On NBC’s Meet the Press this morning, Congressman Paul Ryan was confronted with his failed economic predictions and, in response, doubled down on the same policies that lost him the election in 2012.
“As our economy continues to get stronger, it’s sad and troubling that Paul Ryan would want to return to the same failed Republican trickle down policies of the past – policies that the American people resoundingly rejected during Congressman Ryan’s failed run for Vice President,” said Josh Schwerin of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Republicans have the opportunity to finally put the middle class first and end special interest tax loopholes and abuses, but the coming weeks will reveal the true Republican priorities.”
