Paul Ryan Voted for He Who Must Not Be Named

This morning on Fox & Friends, Speaker Paul Ryan was asked a simple question right out of the gate: “where do you stand on voting for Donald Trump?”

Ryan’s response spoke volumes: “I already voted here in Janesville for our nominee last week in early voting.” Ryan could not even bring himself to admit out loud that he put his Party over the country and cast his vote for Donald Trump. Is it because he is ashamed that he voted for someone who bragged about sexually assaulting women? Or because Ryan knowingly helped make our country less safe by casting his ballot for someone that Republican national security experts agree is unfit to be Commander in Chief?

Steve Doocy then generously gave Ryan another chance to say the name of the person he cast his vote for: “So you voted for Donald Trump, and you’re encouraging… anybody who will listen to vote for Donald Trump?”

Once again, Ryan could not bring himself to say Donald Trump’s name: “I am supporting our entire Republican ticket.”

Then, like clockwork, you can see Ryan realize that he is starting to look desperate and spineless for repeatedly refusing to say the name of who he voted for to lead our country… so out comes his handy dandy “Better Way” pamphlet! Ryan goes on to say that House Republicans’ “Better Way” plan and Donald Trump’s agenda are “virtually one and the same,” and pleads for “a unified Republican government,” highlighting that his Republican-led Congress intends to continue to obstruct any kind of progress and only serve to antagonize a potential Clinton presidency.

“The fact that Paul Ryan repeatedly could not bring himself to say out loud ‘I voted for Donald Trump,’ once again underscores that Ryan is shamefully putting his Party over our country by casting his vote for Donald Trump,” said Christie Stephenson of the DCCC. “Another explanation could be that he actually wrote in Voldemort instead. Either way, Paul Ryan isn’t doing the only thing that would stop a dangerous, reckless man from becoming Commander in Chief – voting for Hillary Clinton.”
