Perennial Loser Tom Barrett Files to Run in MI-07

Extreme MAGA Republican and perennial politician Tom Barrett is running (again) for Michigan’s 7th Congressional district – and once again, Michiganders will reject him.

DCCC spokesperson Courtney Rice:
“Tom Barrett is just another rubber-stamp for the extreme MAGA Republican agenda. Whether it’s opposing abortion even in cases of rape or incest or attempting to stand in the way of creating new manufacturing jobs, Michiganders will once again reject Tom Barrett’s extreme, anti-middle class candidacy.”

REMINDER: Barrett is out-of-step with Michiganders on nearly every issue:

• Barrett called for the Michigan legislature to reinstate a draconian law that would ban nearly all abortions in the state with no exceptions. Barrett even called himself “100% PRO-LIFE – NO EXCEPTIONS.”

• Barrett repeatedly voted against bipartisan measures to support growing Michigan’s economy and creating jobs in advanced auto manufacturing.

• Barrett hosted a campaign event with a far-right extremist group Stand Up Michigan, a group known for espousing conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 election and has ties to the group of men who plotted to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
• Barrett is bought and paid for by the far-right and dark money donors like Betsy DeVos and the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity.
