Perry puts politics ahead of lower costs for seniors
Despite Scott Perry and House Republicans opposing the Inflation Reduction Act, moments ago the Biden administration announced the first set of ten prescription drugs that will be subject to new price negotiations, reducing the cost of many of Medicare’s most expensive medicines.
Drugs to fight cancer, diabetes, and heart disease will be more affordable for everyday Americans.
The legislation Perry voted against also caps out-of-pocket prescription drug costs under Medicare to $2,000 per year—including capping the cost of insulin to $35/month.
DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
“Today is another reminder that Scott Perry will always side with big pharma and his billionaire backers over lowering drug costs and helping seniors.”
