Vulnerable Republican Rep. Scott Perry once again voted “no” and took the dough by voting against the landmark INVEST Act, which contains critical investments in infrastructure and job creation, including nearly $290,000,000 in hard infrastructure for Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth has more than 3,300 bridges and 7,540 miles of highway in poor condition — leading each driver in Pennsylvania to pay $620 annually in costs due to poor infrastructure.
Just like when he voted against direct relief funds for his community in the American Rescue Plan, Perry voted no, but was all too happy to take the dough.
“Scott Perry is so out-of-touch with his district that he is repeatedly voting against needed investments in his community in an attempt to score cheap political points,” said DCCC Spokesperson James Singer. “Families in Pennsylvania have Democrats to thank for the good-paying jobs and much-needed infrastructure investments headed their way — not Perry, who stood against them when it counted.”
