Pew Research: Americans Don’t Like The Big, Ugly Bill

As Republicans continue to stand behind the Big, Ugly Bill and the devastating consequences it would have for millions of Americans’ health care, as well as catastrophic effects on our nation’s hospitals, it’s clear voters are squarely against the bill – and Republicans’ vote for it is going to cost them the majority.

new poll from Pew Research finds 54% of Americans say the GOP Tax Scam would have a negative impact on our country. Even worse, a majority of Americans say the Big, Ugly Bill would HURT – not help – middle-class and low-income people.

This new polling comes after the Washington Post-Ipsos and Quinnipiac have made similar findings: the GOP Tax Scam is out of step with what the American people voted for in November. CNN’s Harry Enten also found that the Big, Ugly Bill is even more unpopular than the 2017 Tax Scam, which was passed before Republicans lost the House majority in the 2018 midterms.

In a May memo, the DCCC stated every single so-called moderate who voted for the Big, Ugly Bill would be punching their pink slip for retirement.

The consistent polling showing the bill’s continued unpopularity makes that even more clear.

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“The American people are rapidly rejecting the GOP Tax Scam. Are the so-called moderates listening?”
