Polling Supports What Kansans Already Know: Adkins Is Out-Of-Touch With Voters

Despite overwhelming public support, Adkins continues to stand against gas tax relief
This week, a Politico/Morning Consult poll confirmed what many Americans already know: a gas tax suspension is a popular, surefire measure to lower prices and ease some of the pain that Kansans are feeling at the pump.

Everyday Kansans are ready for relief. 73% of voters nationwide said they would support “a temporary break” from federal gas taxes, while 72% support a similar move with state gas taxes.

When called out for how out-of-touch her position is, Adkins had nothing to say for herself. Adkins has not offered a single solution, content to let Kansans suffer instead of embracing this short-term cost -cutting measure.

DCCC spokesperson Helen Kalla:
“Week after week, voters continue to feel ignored by wealthy politician Amanda Adkins. Meanwhile, Rep. Sharice Davids will continue to fight for solutions to the struggle everyday Kansans are facing at the gas pump.”
