President Biden Signs Historic Infrastructure Deal Ann Wagner Voted Against Into Law

Missourians are getting a historic win today, no thanks to Ann Wagner (MO-02)

Today, President Biden signed into law the wildly popular bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that Democrats worked to pass to deliver real results for families and workers across Missouri. But you won’t see Rep. Ann Wagner celebrating this historic accomplishment — because she sided with party bosses and voted against the once-in-a-generation investment that will strengthen America’s infrastructure and create millions of jobs.

This infrastructure deal marks the largest and most meaningful action on our nation’s infrastructure and competitiveness in nearly a century. Despite Ann Wagner’s reckless opposition, thanks to the work of President Biden and Congressional Democrats, families across Missouri will now be able to directly feel the effects of the bill’s game-changing investments.

From fixing Missouri’s crumbling roads and bridges, easing inflation, providing millions of Americans with good-paying union jobs, ensuring every Missourian has access to high speed internet, delivering clean water to homes and schools, modernizing public transit, and helping save our environment from the climate crisis, families and workers across MO-02 will see the impacts of this legislation in nearly every corner of their lives.

“If Ann Wagner had her way, our nation’s crumbling infrastructure would continue to fall into disrepair,” said DCCC spokesperson Monica Robinson. “Wagner already proved that she would rather side with party bosses than deliver wins for Missouri. The signing of this once-in-a-generation legislation serves as a reminder that while Democrats are delivering, voters cannot rely on Ann Wagner to do the same.”
