| An Alaska voter is sounding off on Nick Begich for doing absolutely nothing to prevent health care costs from skyrocketing for Alaska families.
In a new letter to the editor, the Alaskan calls Begich out for voting AGAINST a bipartisan effort to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies that tens of thousands of his own constituents rely on for essential care – a vote that has already caused enrollment to drop by 11%.
“Nick Begich is not just oblivious to the concern but is actually voting to keep costs high… Begich is profoundly out of touch…”
Ouch.

Anchorage Daily News: Letter: Begich is out of touch on the affordability struggles of Alaska families
- Health insurance costs are skyrocketing in Alaska, and Nick Begich is not just oblivious to the concern but is actually voting to keep costs high.
- Our lone representative in the U.S. House earlier this month voted against a bipartisan bill that will preserve some of the subsidies that help make insurance more affordable in this very expensive state.
- With some households now paying up to $75 or more per day just on premiums, Rep. Begich is profoundly out of touch with the affordability struggles facing many Alaskan families.
