QUESTION: Will House Republicans Move Forward with Trump’s Border Wall?

During the Trump Administration’s first White House briefing, Press Secretary Sean Spicer reaffirmed that they are moving forward with their harsh, unpopular, and impractical border wall. Spicer told reporters that they are working with Congress on appropriations to begin building the wall.

Given the negative impact on our economy and the fact that Trump is poised to force American taxpayers to pay for it, House Republicans owe it to the public to say whether or not they will vote to approve this border wall.

“It shouldn’t surprise anyone that the same person who ran the most anti-immigrant and anti-Latino presidential campaign in recent history is dead-set on building an unrealistic border wall, paid for by American taxpayers. House Republicans have a direct role in signing off on this plan. Given how cruel and how damaging it would be for our economy, will House Republicans vote to pay for Donald Trump’s border wall?” asked Javier Gamboa of the DCCC.
