In a key moment from the MI-07 debate, Will Lawrence slammed Tom Barrett’s record falling in line with Trump to raise costs and gut health care. 

Will Lawrence: “Tom Barrett voted to give tax breaks to billionaires. He voted to cut your healthcare. He voted to make your gas and groceries more expensive. And he’s voted to increase the national debt.”

“He’s running from his record because he knows that he has repeatedly voted over the last 2 years to make your life more expensive, while making our country weaker.”

“He has no answers for his record or that of his failed president.”

In contrast, Tom Barrett spent the debate shamelessly attempting to cover up his record of gutting health care, raising costs, and putting his billionaire donors over Michigan families — even stuttering while trying and failing to explain his record giving billions in tax breaks to data center developers.
