Overview

Nick Begich is out of touch with Alaska and is an elitist who is enriching himself and his billionaire buddies at the expense of hardworking Alaskans. Bill Hill is an Independent commercial fisherman and school teacher who will end the war and make the billionaires and corporations pay their fair share so we can lower fuel and everyday costs – and he is the only choice for Alaskans who want to beat Begich.

SUMMARY

Starting eight weeks before the election, Democrats and left-leaning unaffiliated voters, especially those who don’t vote in every election, need to receive texts, see digital ads on YouTube, streaming, OTT, hear from content creators, and receive mail, that make clear:

  • Eric Hafner is listed on the ballot as a Democrat running for Congress, but is a likely Republican plant to take votes away from Bill Hill. He has no ties to Alaska, and is actually in Federal prison in New York for threatening to kill police officers and calling in fake bomb threats.
  • Meanwhile, Bill Hill is the only choice for voters who want to defeat Nick Begich. Bill is Alaska Native and the only candidate endorsed by pro-choice organizations and more than 20 unions. He’ll fight to make the system work for hardworking Alaskans and get big money out of politics. That’s why he’s the only candidate in the race endorsed by the Alaska Democratic Party. He is also endorsed by dozens of state and local Democratic elected officials.

Starting eight weeks before the election, voters, especially Independents, Libertarians, Democratic-leaning voters, Alaska Native voters, and voters under the age of 40, need to see broadcast TV ads, digital ads on YouTube, streaming, and OTT, and receive mail, that communicates:

  • First, Nick Begich voted for the largest Medicaid cut in history, all to pay for a massive tax cut for billionaires, from which he personally benefitted. Hospitals in Alaska were projected to lose up to $63 million in funding, putting them at risk of closure. His vote increased healthcare premiums on working families, and because of Begich’s vote, 40,000 Alaskans could lose their health insurance.
  • Second, Nick Begich is making life more expensive for working and older Alaskans, while voting for tax breaks for himself. While Alaskans are spending $2,345 more on their everyday expenses, Begich supports the tariff taxes that are making everything more expensive. He voted to send $37 billion of our taxpayers dollars overseas for the War in Iran, while fuel costs rise in Alaska. And he even called Social Security a Ponzi scheme and voted for a bill that was called a ‘backdoor for privatizing Social Security.’
  • Third, Nick Begich is an Epstein-class elitist.  He voted to protect child abusers and rapists. He voted to prevent the release of the Epstein files, even after learning that Epstein’s sex trafficking operation exploited girls as young as 14 for sex.
  • Meanwhile, Bill Hill is a Bristol Bay fisherman and Independent. An Alaska Native commercial fisherman and teacher, Bill is fighting for an Alaska where working hard means earning a good living. Bill believes that the wealthy D.C. elites need to play by the same rules we do. Bill will make billionaires and corporations pay their share so we can lower the cost of healthcare and fuel and fund our schools.
