Stockton Mayor Kevin Lincoln profits politically and benefits personally – at the expense of the Valley. 

SUMMARY

Starting ten weeks before Election Day, voters, especially No Party Preference voters and Latino Democrats, in the Fresno and Sacramento media markets, need to see broadcast TV ads, digital ads on YouTube, streaming, receive mail, and hear radio, all in English and Spanish, that:

  • Under Mayor Kevin Lincoln, Stockton’s homelessness increased, property crime rose, and homicides increased by nearly 40%. But instead of hiring more police officers and putting public safety first, Lincoln diverted taxpayer dollars to political pet projects, including $2 million for a sports arena.  He also spent more than $75 million on a new City Hall on the waterfront, including a new office for himself. When public safety should have come first, Kevin Lincoln profited personally and politically, instead.
  • Stockton already had one of the highest sales taxes in the Valley, but Mayor Kevin Lincoln piled on even more. Lincoln voted to approve more than sixty city fees. His policies created higher costs for water utilities and even youth sports. Then, Lincoln increased health insurance costs for city workers by eighteen percent. Under Kevin Lincoln’s watch, government made life more expensive, not more affordable.

  • Adam Gray was born and raised in Merced, where his family has worked for generations, and will always put the Valley first. He knows that water is the lifeblood of the Valley — Gray led the fight against the state water grab and won more than $3 billion for storage and repairs, which is why the California Farm Bureau endorses him. And he worked with Republicans and Democrats to secure more than $200 million for a medical school at UC Merced.
  • Adam Gray is working to lower costs. He wrote the bill to reverse the Medi-Cal cuts, will protect the Social Security and Medicare families paid into their whole lives, and opposes tariffs that are driving up costs. When nearly 48,000 Valley families were about to lose their food assistance, he was one of six Democrats who voted to reopen the government.
