Overview

MAGA Mike Beltran is a corrupt politician who sides with Trump, corporate special interests, and his donors, no matter what’s in the best interest of Floridians.

SUMMARY

Starting immediately, all voters, especially Black men, Latinas, and voters under 65, need to see broadcast and cable TV ads, including on primetime and live sports, and YouTube, streaming, OTT and Meta, and receive mail, about how:

  • Corrupt politician “MAGA Mike” Beltran wants to take his voting record of putting his corporate donors ahead of us to D.C. Insurance companies and utility companies were among his biggest campaign donors. In the legislature, Beltran voted to let utility companies charge higher rates and used $1 billion in taxpayer funds to bail out private insurance companies, which charge some of the highest rates in the country. And he’s taken tens of thousands of dollars from data center companies and those who stand to profit from them – so of course he supports big tax giveaways for wealthy data center companies, even though they use enormous amounts of electricity and threaten to leave families paying more.

Starting immediately, Democratic women and voters with soft support for Democrats who are registered as unaffiliated with a party and are not definitely voting, and independent women should receive mail about how:

  • “MAGA Mike” Beltran wrote the bill to ban abortions at conception: with no exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes common forms of birth control. He was even the only member of the Florida legislature – from either party – to oppose the Live Healthy Plan to lower costs and improve healthcare for Moms and babies. He’s admitted he’s “too conservative” for the GOP and called for massive healthcare cuts that would raise insurance costs.

Voters who could be persuaded to vote for Kathy Castor, especially non-white voters under the age of 65, should hear from canvassers at their doors and in digital ads on Meta, Snapchat, CTV, and YouTube, about how:

  • Kathy Castor is working hard to bring your costs down with a three-step plan to lower your rates: 1) no data centers in Hillsborough County, 2) pass her bipartisan rate payer protection act to stop corporations from passing their costs off to us, and 3) and ban utility companies from using your money to fund their lobbying.
