Overview

Zach Dembo served his country as a Naval officer and a federal prosecutor who took on corruption and put violent criminals behind bars. Ralph Alvarado is part of the same corrupt political system that has worked for insiders and big corporations while raising our costs.

Summary: 

  • Voters in the Lexington media market, need to see ads on broadcast TV and cable and voters, especially White non-college voters and seniors need to see digital ads on CTV, YouTube, Meta and other streaming platforms about how:
    • Alvarado opposed Medicaid expansion and now supports massive cuts that will result in 200,000 Kentuckians losing their coverage and could close thirty-five rural hospitals in the state. 
    • As a state legislator, Alvarado used his position to make it harder to hold nursing homes accountable for bad behavior. This is notable because Alvarado was Medical Director for several nursing homes that were fined for incidents like neglecting patients, and one nursing home even settled multiple wrongful death lawsuits.
    • Ralph Alvarado supported a bill that gave over $80 billion dollars in tax breaks to data center developers, giving them our money to build data centers in our communities even though these projects drive up electric rates for customers, use and pollute our drinking water, and are built under secret deals that hurt area residents. all while having up to $450,000 invested in data center developer stock himself.
    • Alvarado ran as Matt Bevin’s running mate and supported Bevin’s attacks on seniors and families, and plans to gut gutting Medicaid.  When Bevin granted 428 pardons and commutations for criminals, including to a child rapist, Alvarado stayed silent, even though other Kentucky Republicans condemned the pardons at the time.
