Overview

Laura Gillen is one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and puts politics aside to do what’s right for Long Island. Jeanine Driscoll says she stands with Donald Trump 100% of the time and that means higher healthcare costs, higher gas prices, higher grocery prices for struggling Nassau families, and endless Washington corruption. 

SUMMARY

Starting 8 weeks before election day, persuadable and Democratic-leaning voters districtwide, including Black and Hispanic voters, need to see ads on streaming and digital platforms, especially YouTube, that say: 

  • Laura Gillen is one of the most bipartisan members of Congress and puts politics aside to do what’s right for Long Island.
    • Laura held firm to defend affordable healthcare for Long Island, while working with both parties to fully fund local police and reform our broken immigration system. 
    • Laura is working with both parties  to take on government corruption by voting to ban congressional stock trading and lowering costs for families by cutting middle-class taxes and cracking down on insurance companies that are ripping you off and driving up the cost of healthcare.
  • Jeanine Driscoll is too partisan and will do whatever Donald Trump wants, rubber stamping his agenda even when it hurts Long Island. 
    • Driscoll says that, in Congress, she will stand behind Trump “100% of the time”– that means standing by his reckless policies that are making everything on Long Island more expensive. The Driscoll-Trump plan is clear: higher healthcare costs, gas prices skyrocketing, never-ending tariffs, and grocery prices through the roof.  
    • Driscoll supported Trump’s radical plan to gut healthcare and called the plan “wonderful” even though it will make the largest cuts to Medicaid in history, kick tens of thousands of Nassau families off their health insurance, increase premiums by as much as 300%, and could force hospitals to close.

Starting at least 6 weeks before the general election, voters who are likely to support Laura Gillen, strong Democratic voters and Democratic voters that need to be mobilized to vote need to receive mail about how: 

  • Laura Gillen has stood up to Trump to fight for Long Island. She fought back against his reckless corruption, deep cuts to health care, and this dangerous war in Iran. Laura Gillen is ready to take back Congress–and take back our country–so we can lower costs, protect our rights, and turn America around.
