Overview

Rob Bresnahan ran for Congress promising to lower costs for NEPA families but he has voted repeatedly to make life more expensive while looking out for himself. Paige Cognetti is an independent fighter running to take on the corruption in Washington that is raising our costs.

Summary:

  • Beginning 9 weeks out from Election Day, voters in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre media market need to see ads on broadcast TV, and voters over age 35 districtwide, especially voters over 35 who voted in either 2020, 2022, or 2024, and voters who are unlikely to get their news from other sources, along with voters over age 18 in Pike County need to see ads on streaming and YouTube about how Rob Bresnahan has put his bottom line over NEPA families so he can make millions:  
    •  Bresnahan has been in Congress less than two years and has traded stocks more than nearly every member of Congress, including stocks in companies he oversees and after promising to ban stock trading by Members of Congress as a candidate.
    • Bresnahan sold up to one hundred thirty thousand dollars of stock in healthcare companies that manage Medicaid enrollees one week before he voted for the largest Medicaid cuts in history, kicking up to more than half a million Pennsylvanians off their insurance and potentially forcing hospitals to close.
  • Voters districtwide, especially voters in Luzerne County who voted in the 2022 and 2024 general elections and registered independents across the district who voted in 2020 and 2024 but NOT in 2018 and 2022, need to receive mail about how Rob Bresnahan has put his own bottom line first and has hurt NEPA families in order to make millions:
    •  Bresnahan has been in Congress less than two years and has traded stocks more than nearly every member of Congress, including stocks in companies he oversees and after promising to ban stock trading by Members of Congress as a candidate.
    • Bresnahan sold up to  one hundred thirty thousand dollars of stock in healthcare companies that manage Medicaid enrollees one week before he voted for the largest Medicaid cuts in history, kicking up to more than half a million Pennsylvanians off their insurance and potentially forcing hospitals to close.
  • Voters, especially voters who cast a ballot in at least two of the past three general elections who live in Luzerne zip codes: 18702, 18704, 18201, 18640, 18707, 18706, 18705, 18643, 18634, 18612, 18202, 18708, 18222, 18651, 18644, 18641, 18224, 18661, 18642, 18709, 18618, 18701, need to hear persuasion messaging from canvassers at their doors.
    • Messaging that voters need to hear will be added at a later date.
