Overview

Rob Bresnahan ran for Congress promising to lower costs for NEPA families but he has voted repeatedly to make life more expensive while looking out for himself. Paige Cognetti is an independent fighter running to take on the corruption in Washington that is raising our costs.

  • Voters in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre media market need to see ads on cable and broadcast TV ads about how Rob Bresnahan protected predators and profited:
    • Rob Bresnahan profited from children being exploited online. He invested in a Chinese company that spread content exploiting children, and another company that was accused of marketing sexual content to kids. And Bresnahan voted against releasing the Epstein files even after he knew teenage girls were raped.
  • Voters districtwide, especially women over 35 and non-college educated women, need to see ads on streaming, YouTube and other digital platforms about how Rob Bresnahan protected predators and profited:
    • Rob Bresnahan profited from children being exploited online. He invested in a Chinese company that spread content exploiting children, and another company that was accused of marketing sexual content to kids. And Bresnahan voted against releasing the Epstein files even after he knew teenage girls were raped.
    • Paige Cognetti ran for Mayor as an Independent against the Democratic machine to fight for taxpayers in NEPA. In office, she turned down the city car, pay raises, balanced the city budget, and scrapped the no bid contracts and cash payments causing corruption. In Congress, Paige will work to end the corruption that drives up prices and hurts our communities by banning members of Congress from trading stocks, banning corporate PAC money, and enacting term limits. 
  • Voters districtwide, especially voters in Luzerne County who voted in the 2022 and 2024 general elections and registered independents across the district who voted in 2020 and 2024 but NOT in 2018 and 2022, need to receive mail about how Rob Bresnahan has put his own bottom line first and has hurt NEPA families in order to make millions:
    • Bresnahan has been in Congress less than two years and has traded stocks more than nearly every member of Congress, including stocks in companies he oversees and after promising to ban stock trading by Members of Congress as a candidate.
    • Bresnahan sold up to  one hundred thirty thousand dollars of stock in healthcare companies that manage Medicaid enrollees one week before he voted for the largest Medicaid cuts in history, kicking up to more than half a million Pennsylvanians off their insurance and potentially forcing hospitals to close.
  • Voters, especially voters who cast a ballot in at least two of the past three general elections who live in Luzerne zip codes: 18702, 18704, 18201, 18640, 18707, 18706, 18705, 18643, 18634, 18612, 18202, 18708, 18222, 18651, 18644, 18641, 18224, 18661, 18642, 18709, 18618, 18701, need to hear persuasion messaging from canvassers at their doors about how Paige Cognetti will focus on doing what’s best for NEPA families, unlike Rob Bresnahan who has repeatedly voted to make life more expensive while looking out for himself:
    • Paige Cognetti ran for Mayor as an Independent against the Democratic machine to fight for taxpayers in NEPA.
