Derrick Van Orden doesn’t care about Wisconsinites. He is out of touch and serves his special interest donors while everyone else is left behind.
SUMMARY:
Voters in the Lacrosse, Wausau, Madison, Minneapolis media markets need to see broadcast and cable TV ads, digital ads on OTT and YouTube, hear radio and streaming audio ads, and read mail about Van Orden’s record on health care:
- Van Orden took campaign cash from health insurers. Then he supported letting them deny health insurance to people who get sick or have pre-existing conditions and voted to raise health care premiums
- Van Orden voted for the largest Medicaid cuts in history, stripping healthcare from millions and forcing rural hospitals to cut services and close.
- Van Orden voted to force billions in cuts to Medicare, which will cut benefits and raise costs on seniors’ health care. He also took campaign cash from drug companies and opposed requiring Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices.
- This was all while he lowered taxes for his special interest donors.

- Derrick Van Orden took tens of thousands in campaign cash from the data center industry while he voted for a bill that gave over $80 billion in tax breaks to data center developers, giving them our money to build data centers in our communities even though these projects drive up electric rates for customers, use and pollute drinking water, and are made with secret deals that hurt area residents.
