Republican Barbara Comstock was endorsed by a radical anti-women’s health group, the Susan B. Anthony List, that funds candidates who seek to eliminate a myriad of health freedoms that women enjoy. This endorsement comes as no surprise since Barbara Comstock previously sat on the board of this dark money group. Specifically, this group funds candidates who support backwards measures like overturning Roe V. Wade, defunding Planned Parenthood and the banning of abortions even when the woman’s health is at risk.
Barbara Comstock is now even more closely tied to Donald Trump. Earlier this month, Marjorie Dannenfelser, the group’s leader joined Donald Trump’s campaign as the chairwoman of his pro-life coalition.
“If one needed further proof that Donald Trump and Barbara Comstock are reckless in their opposition to women’s health freedoms, then look no further than this radical anti-women’s group throwing its full support behind Barbara Comstock,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC. “Barbara Comstock is out of touch with the women of Northern Virginia, who want to make their own healthcare choices and need an advocate in Washington.”
