Randy Villegas Outraises David Valadao as Grassroots Momentum Builds in CA-22

Randy Villegas raised more than $1.3 million in Q2, outraising David Valadao in a major warning sign for November.

Powered entirely by grassroots supporters, Randy raised an average contribution of just $50, and saw 96% of donors give $100 or less – proof that everyday Central Valley voters are rallying behind Randy’s message of lowering costs, protecting health care, and taking on corporate special interests.

The fundraising surge comes as Valadao faces growing backlash for siding with Washington Republicans to slash health care and food assistance while driving up costs for working families. On policy after policy, Valadao has lost his way – putting corporate interests and his party bosses ahead of the Central Valley families he represents.

DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Randy Villegas is proving that the people of the Central Valley are ready to send David Valadao packing. While Valadao voted to gut health care, raise costs for working families, and protect a broken status quo in Washington, Randy is building a people-powered campaign focused on making life more affordable for working families. This grassroots momentum is exactly the kind of energy that flips seats, and it’s why CA-22 is one of Democrats’ top pickup opportunities this November.”
