Congressman Blum’s recent claim that he is not “concerned” about his campaign is more than a little bit ridiculous. In fact, Blum’s constituents have had to endure his non-stop campaigning and attention seeking since Republican presidential candidates started coming to Iowa last year. This year alone, he has campaigned with Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, and Ben Carson. Blum has said that he expects to be appearing with more presidential candidates throughout the year.
“Congressman Blum is pretending not to care about his dismal support while desperately seeking out the attention of the Republican presidential circus,” said DCCC Communications Director Matt Thornton. “He’s in for a rude awakening if he thinks hardworking Iowans want to be represented by a pretend kingmaker instead of someone who builds consensus and solves problems.”
