RECESS RECAP: Very Few Republicans Held Town Halls – Those Who Did Faced Massive Backlash
Over recess, very few vulnerable House Republicans demonstrated enough basic respect for their constituents to hold town halls and public meetings – in some cases causing people to hold “empty chair” town halls instead. For those who did hold town halls (often tightly restricted), they faced massive backlash over their Repeal and Ripoff healthcare bill and their rubber stamp approach to President Trump.
