Since Reed’s endorsement, Trump has thrown Republican primary circus further deeper into the gutter
When Congressman Tom Reed endorsed Donald Trump, he called for moving “beyond the bombastic rhetoric to positive discussion.” That’s laughable.
Since then, Reed’s chosen presidential candidate has only further thrust the Republican primary circus deeper into the gutter.
Trump and Cruz are still dominating headlines over nastily sparring over their spouses. And yesterday, Trump’s campaign manager was charged with battery over allegations that he grabbed a reporter. Trump even blamed the victim.
So much for “positive discussion,” Congressman.
“It’s laughable that Congressman Tom Reed thought he could fool anybody by calling for moving ‘beyond bombastic rhetoric’ when he endorsed Donald Trump and his reckless views that include disparaging women and blaming victims,” said Bryan Lesswing at the DCCC. “It’s shameful that despite Trump’s pattern of reckless behavior and dangerous views that make our country less safe, Tom Reed is still willing to throw his support behind Donald Trump.”
