REFRESH YOUR MEMORY: Greg Cunningham’s Toxic Record Will Appear on Full Display During Tonight’s NM-02 Debate

Tonight, New Mexico voters will watch Congressman Gabe Vasquez and Greg Cunningham take the debate stage, where Cunningham’s toxic record will be on full display.

Whether it’s backing Republicans’ votes to gut health care and food assistance from tens of thousands of New Mexicans, supporting the war in Iran that’s jacking up costs, refusing to stand up to tariffs that are wrecking New Mexico’s agricultural economy, or being exposed for campaigning with drug traffickers, Cunningham will be forced to defend an indefensible record of selling out New Mexicans for Donald Trump and his D.C. party bosses.

Greg Cunningham is Too Extreme for New Mexico. Here’s How:

HEALTH CARE: Cunningham called New Mexicans losing health care and food assistance they relied upon “enslaved.” He also said the cost-raising policies wrecking New Mexicans’ livelihoods “are good for the people” of NM-02. Reminder: That includes nearly 40,000 NM-02 residents losing their health care, nearly $47 million cut from district hospitals, and up to eight hospitals at risk of closing in New Mexico following Medicaid cuts.

COSTS: Cunningham has supported the war in Iran, and implied New Mexicans struggling with rising costs should just “hang on.” And when asked if Trump’s reckless tariffs are working for farmers, Cunningham said “I’m really trying to parse through the real issues to them… It’s funny you asked that… It’s that process of figuring out.”

IMMIGRATION: Cunningham said Americans killed by ICE operations are “collateral damage,” people who show up to protest ICE “have to be dealt with individually,” and that “immigration without assimilation is an invasion.”

PUBLIC SAFETY: Cunningham was caught prominently featuring a convicted felon in his campaign ad — a man he called his barber and friend of 30 years — who pleaded guilty to two felony drug trafficking charges for cocaine.

While Cunningham will attempt to lie about Vasquez’s record on public safety, voters know the truth: Vasquez has a trusted and proven track record of delivering the funding and resources needed to keep New Mexico families safe – from tackling drug cartels to stemming the flow of fentanyl.

PARTY RUBBERSTAMP: Cunningham has pledged his blind allegiance to Donald Trump and his national party bosses, asserting that passing their extreme policies is his “number one priority.” Trump has also said he “loves” Cunningham, while Cunningham has “vow[ed] to stand with Trump.”
