As Kansans head to the polls to cast their vote on the constitutional amendment that paves the way for a total abortion ban in Kansas, Amanda Adkins’ anti-choice record is once again in the spotlight.
Adkins said she “100 percent” will vote yes on Kansas’ constitutional amendment that would allow the Republican-controlled state legislature to enact a total ban on abortion with no exceptions.
As chair of the Kansas Republican Party, Adkins pushed for a plan to make abortion illegal, even in cases of rape and incest. She also wants to defund Planned Parenthood, which provides affordable health care, including birth control and cancer screenings, to tens of thousands of Kansans every year.
Despite KS-03 voters’ overwhelming support for safe, legal abortion, Adkins continues to try and stand between women and their private medical decisions.
