REMINDER: Brian Fitzpatrick Has Jacked Up Costs And Repeatedly Voted Against Affordable Health Care

Health care costs have already skyrocketed across Bucks and Montgomery Counties because Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick and House Republicans failed to extend the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits.

Fitzpatrick knows that his record of higher costs and reduced access to care is going to cost him his seat, so he’s trying to cover his tracks.

But let’s be clear: Fitzpatrick is responsible for these price hikes and has a longstanding record of undermining Pennsylvanians access to affordable health care.

As a reminder…

  • Fitzpatrick has already failed to prevent the ACA tax credits from expiring – jacking up Pennie costs by an average of 102% across Pennsylvania.
  • The Bucks County Courier Times recently reminded readers that Fitzpatrick has long opposed efforts to make health care more affordable, writing: “Fitzpatrick had voted against the American Rescue Plan and the Inflation Reduction Act, bills that created and extended the enhanced subsidies.”
  • Fitzpatrick voted for a House Republican health care plan which did not extend the tax credits, and he ditched Washington for weeks instead of working on a potential solution.
  • Fitzpatrick had the chance to vote to extend ACA tax credits and prevent skyrocketing health care costs during a committee vote back in May, but he skipped the vote entirely.
  • Fitzpatrick cast the deciding vote to advance the so-called Big Beautiful Bill out of the House, leading to the largest cuts to Medicaid in history.

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Congressman Fitzpatrick has already allowed the ACA tax credits to expire and prices to skyrocket – that’s a fact. His eleventh hour attempt to paper over the health care crisis he and his Republican Party have created is an admission that even he knows he’s facing his toughest re-election campaign yet because he’s failed to lower skyrocketing costs.”
