Two years ago, David Schweikert applauded the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and take away a woman’s right to have an abortion.
In the two years since Schweikert cheered for the fall of Roe, his party has worked to further restrict women’s reproductive freedoms.
From working to outlaw abortion medication, voting to allow states to implement abortion bans, to unanimously electing a Speaker who wants to “get the number of abortions to ZERO,” House Republicans have made it clear the Dobbs decision they celebrated was just the first step in their mission to ban abortion nationwide.
Let’s not forget that Schweikert co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act – a bill that would ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions – six times.
