Reminder: Don Bacon Helped Enable States to Punish Women for Receiving Reproductive Care

The Alabama Attorney General is threatening to prosecute women who travel out of state for an abortion – which was made possible by Don Bacon who voted against banning states from punishing women for receiving reproductive care.

Don Bacon has repeatedly attacked reproductive freedoms, including:

• Co-sponsoring the Life at Conception Act, which would ban abortion with no exceptions.

• Co-sponsoring legislation that further chips away at abortion coverage for women with both private and public insurance.

• Supporting anti-choice legislation that would restrict health care access and potentially punish doctors.

• Voting twice against the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would allow states to ban abortion and prevent Roe v. Wade from being codified.

• Receiving an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, whose mission is to “end abortion.”
