Reminder: Don Bacon Tries to Have it Both Ways with Trump and the MAGA Agenda

Vulnerable Rep. Don Bacon’s extremist record is catching up to him, and he is running scared.

Bacon recently attempted to downplay his ties to Donald Trump and the MAGA extremists who incited the deadly January 6 insurrection – but Nebraskans know Bacon’s record of falling in line with his dangerous GOP bosses. Bacon:

• Proudly accepted Trump’s 2020 endorsement and repeatedly campaigned alongside him, including at the infamous 2020 Omaha rally that left thousands of Nebraskans out in the cold;

• Refused to hold Donald Trump accountable for his role in inciting the violent January 6 insurrection, which resulted in the death of 5 people and injured 140 law enforcement officers;

• Praised insurrectionists who attacked the police as “patriots” and “outstanding, wonderful people,” and even stated that “many of them are my friends”;

• Voted against creating a select committee to uncover the truth about the deadly insurrection and how we can ensure it never happens again.
