Reminder: George Logan Voted Against Raising Law Enforcement Salaries

Yesterday, Republican candidate and former lobbyist George Logan took to Twitter to tout an appearance with local law enforcement. Logan claimed to be a steadfast supporter of police, saying “as a Congressman, I will always have the backs of our men & women in blue.”

Unfortunately, Logan’s record as a state senator exposes that claim as empty campaign rhetoric.

In 2019, Logan voted against raising salaries for Connecticut State Police and providing hazard pay to officers serving in major crime units. It seems when the cameras are off, George Logan’s priorities are subject to change.

DCCC Spokesperson Ian Clarke:
“George Logan’s record as a legislator makes clear that he only values law enforcement as a photo opportunity. It’s hard to see how he ‘backs’ the police when he voted against giving them fair salaries and hazard pay.”
