Juan Ciscomani has said he supports Arizona’s anti-abortion laws. Now, a recent decision by the state Supreme Court to reconsider installing a 19th century law that criminalizes abortion care and jails doctors is prompting questions. Will Ciscomani support reinstating this barbaric abortion law?
Ciscomani, a fake moderate who consistently votes with extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene, has been under local fire for taking fervently anti-abortion positions during his first eight months in Congress.
Ciscomani voted to restrict the sale of safe and affordable abortion medication, picking a fight with so-called Republican “moderates.”
Ciscomani voted to restrict servicemembers and their families from receiving reproductive health care.
Ciscomani is a co-sponsor of H.R. 7 – an anti-abortion bill that would restrict the Department of Veterans Affairs from providing reproductive health care to Arizona’s veterans and expand restrictions to Arizonans who buy ACA private insurance that covers abortion.
Time and time again, Arizonans have made clear the government should stay out of their health care decisions. Now in Congress, Ciscomani has been a rubber-stamp to the extreme agenda that seeks to ban abortion nationwide.
DCCC spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Surely, Juan Ciscomani is cheering for the return of this 19th century law given his track record of being an anti-abortion extremist.”
