Today, the DCCC is reminding Floridians that María Elvira Salazar voted against the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, which was signed into law one year ago today. The CHIPS and Science Act is game-changing legislation that invests in America, creates good-paying union construction and manufacturing jobs, and ensures U.S. competitiveness with the Chinese Communist Party.
Salazar voted against:
Bringing semiconductor manufacturing back to the U.S. and reducing production delays.
Catalyzing regional economic growth across the nation.
Creating investments in STEM education and training from K-12 to community college, undergraduate and graduate education.
Rather than vote for bipartisan legislation in service of her constituents, Salazar has spent her time in Congress appeasing party bosses. Even worse, this Congress, Salazar has voted with extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene nearly 90% of the time.
DCCC spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“María Elvira Salazar’s vote against the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act is a vote against common-sense legislation that is lowering costs and creating better-paying jobs. Salazar’s actions to push an extreme agenda over voting for kitchen table issues will cost her next November.”
