This week, DC Republicans continue to threaten reproductive freedom and kill any effort to pass a bill guaranteeing protections for contraception. No one has championed these attacks more than Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
Miller-Meeks’ extreme anti-contraception record includes:
Co-sponsoring the Life at Conception Act, which would not only ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life but could also ban IVF fertility treatments and forms of contraception
Voting for a bill in the state legislature that could have threatened access to abortion, contraception, and IVF
Trying to point to an “essentially meaningless” contraception bill to avoid questions on her dangerous record
DCCC Spokesperson Mallory Payne:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks is hellbent on ripping away women’s right to decide if, how, and when to start a family. Her attacks on contraception are extreme, dangerous, and out of touch.”
