Reminder: Miller-Meeks Voted to Gut Funding for Law Enforcement

Mariannette Miller-Meeks is celebrating National First Responders Day, but less than a month ago, she supported devastating cuts to law enforcement.

Miller-Meeks turned her back on Iowa’s first responders and voted for legislation that would make drastic cuts to public safety programs, including:

• Bulletproof vests

• Training to help officers survive violent encounters

• Programs combating violence against women and aiding survivors

• Programs addressing the opioid epidemic
