Nick LaLota, George Santos, Anthony D’Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams have abandoned New York’s veterans time and again, voting against expanded veterans’ health and service benefits.
Just this year, these vulnerable New York Republicans voted for the Default on America Act, which would cut veterans’ health benefits and dramatically increase the disability claims backlog.
LaLota, Santos, D’Esposito, Lawler, and Molinaro later voted to restrict abortion nationally for servicemembers and their families.
With more than 600,000 veterans in New York, these New York Republicans’ votes only emphasize just how out of touch they are.
DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Nick LaLota, George Santos, Anthony D’Esposito, Mike Lawler, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams are proving to be the most performative, out of touch members of Congress – and doing it at the expense of New York’s veterans, servicemembers, and their families.”
