Nick Begich can’t rewrite his disastrous record hurting Alaskan small businesses and working families:
- Begich voted TWICE last month to protect price-spiking tariffs that are devastating Alaska’s small businesses. Begich voted for similar legislation protecting tariffs last year.
- Begich-approved tariffs are hitting Alaska’s fishing, mining, seafood, travel, and tourism industries – driving up costs for local employers and families alike. New research found that the average American household could pay $1,000 more per year.
- Anchorage businesses reported their lowest confidence since the pandemic and two-thirds say they expect the economy to worsen thanks to Begich-backed policies, including his tariffs.
- Begich voted AGAINST extending Affordable Care Act tax credits, which provide a crucial lifeline to 25,000 Alaskans who rely on the ACA to access health care – including hardworking small business owners and job creators who depend on affordable coverage to keep their doors open.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“Nick Begich is trying to gaslight Alaskans into thinking he supports small businesses. In reality, he repeatedly voted to raise their costs, spike prices on goods, and rip away affordable health care. Either Begich doesn’t pay attention, or he just doesn’t care about the damage he’s causing.”
