REMINDER: On the 88th Anniversary of the Social Security Act, Juan Ciscomani Is Still Trying to Cut it

On the 88th anniversary of the Social Security Act being signed into law, vulnerable Republican Juan Ciscomani is celebrating by plotting to cut Arizona seniors’ hard earned benefits.

House Republicans who sit on the extreme MAGA Republican Study Committee – including Ciscomani – unveiled their latest budget proposal in June which detailed plans to raise the retirement age, reduce benefits, and privatize Medicare.

In May, Speaker McCarthy, promised to create a commission to identify cuts to Social Security to appease the MAGA extremists in his conference. After getting called out for this new attack on Social Security both McCarthy and Ciscomani have gone strangely silent on the status of this promised commission.
