REMINDER: Rob Bresnahan Has Jacked Up Health Care Costs And Traded Stocks Off of His Health Care Votes

Bresnahan knows that his record of higher costs and reduced access to care is going to cost him his seat, so he’s trying to cover his tracks. 

But let’s be clear: Bresnahan is responsible for these price hikes, and he has a record of gutting Pennsylvanians access to affordable health care while stock trading off of his votes. 

As a reminder… 

• Bresnahan broke his promise not to gut health care when he voted for the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” which made the largest cuts to Medicaid in history. As a result of his vote, 15 million Americans are expected to lose their health care.
• Bresnahan traded stocks that coincided with the timing of his votes to gut health care. He dumped stock in Medicaid providers before voting to gut Medicaid, dumped up to $250,000 worth of Pennsylvania hospital bonds “after a report identified 10 rural hospitals in Pennsylvania that faced immediate risk of closure” due in part to Medicaid cuts he supported.
• Bresnahan has already failed to prevent the ACA tax credits from expiring – jacking up Pennie costs by an average of 102% across Pennsylvania.
• Bresnahan voted for a House Republican health care plan which did not extend the tax credits, and he ditched Washington for weeks instead of working on a potential solution.

“Congressman Bresnahan has already allowed the ACA tax credits to expire and prices to skyrocket – that’s a fact. Bresnahan has unleashed a health care crisis on Northeastern Pennsylvania, and he has actively traded stocks while hurting the hardworking people he is supposed to represent. His desperate attempt to cover for the harm he has already done to his own community won’t work.”
