REMINDER: Ryan & House GOP Still Own Repeal Bill Too Heartless to Pass Senate

Speaker Ryan made epic miscalculation by having vulnerable members walk the plank for nothing

Yet again, Senate Republicans failed to come up with the votes necessary to pass the House Republicans’ disastrous repeal and ripoff health care bill. Their failure is a result of the heartless and unworkable nature of the House bill that would have ripped health care away from tens of millions of Americans, imposed an unfair age tax on older Americans, and increased premiums.

Despite the failure of the bill in the Senate, it’s important to remember: House Republicans already voted for it and they will own it in the 2018 midterms.

“House Republicans can’t turn back time and undo the morally bankrupt vote they took to kick 23 million Americans off their health insurance, impose an unfair age tax, and cause skyrocketing premiums,” said DCCC spokesperson Tyler Law. “Speaker Ryan and all House Republicans own their disastrous bill and it will certainly haunt their imperiled Republican majority in 2018.”
