REMINDER: Scott Perry Had A Direct Role In Trump’s Seditious Insurrection

Last night, former President Donald Trump was indicted for his role in attempting to overturn the 2020 election—an effort aided by Republican members of Congress, including Rep. Scott Perry. These lies culminated in the tragic and deadly insurrection on January 6, one of the darkest days in the nation’s history.

Alongside Donald Trump, Perry played a “direct role” in the effort to subvert the will of voters. He participated in “Stop the Steal” rallies and was a key player in Trump’s plot to oust the Attorney General. Perry spread unfounded claims regarding the election, joined a lawsuit aimed at invalidating millions of votes, and opposed certifying the election in his own commonwealth.

Perry also “served as a go-between” for Trump’s DOJ and the White House, connecting Trump with Jeffrey Clark—who proposed sending the military out to quash protests if Republicans successfully overturned the election.

Since the deadly attack on the nation’s Capitol, Perry has downplayed the events of January 6, continuing to falsely claim no insurrectionist was armed and even opposing a vote to honor the law enforcement who gave their life to protect his own.
